What grade 6 practice covers
Longer stories and articles, sometimes a pair of texts or three sources on one topic, with questions on a story's theme and plot, an article's central idea and the author's point of view, word meaning, and the evidence for an answer.
- Passage sets with question types from the state test: pick one, pick two, and two-part questions where Part B is a quote from the text.
- Three units: a story, an article, and a pair of texts or three articles on one topic, each with its own practice clock.
- Some articles have section headings and notes on hard words, as in longer texts on the state test.
- Results by area after the test, and a plain explanation for each question your child missed.
